projectcosplay:

These were made with mirror vinyl (bought from a Chinese seller) over craft foam held together with various glues.

This is the process / tutorial used.

Use the following chart when adhering materials so they stick well:

  • Vinyl front to vinyl front: Super Glue / Krazy Glue
  • Foam to vinyl front: Coat the foam in a very thin layer of hot glue, let it dry, then use Super Glue / Krazy Glue
  • Foam to vinyl backing: Contact Cement / Contact Spray
  • Foam to foam: Hot Glue (or your favorite method…this is my preferred)

Others have used contact cement to hold the foam to the vinyl backing but because contact cement smells like death to me, I prefer the contact spray adhesive instead.

Really love using this method as it’s fast, easy, and light. Luckily, my armor did not have any complex curves because if it did, I would have used Worbla instead.

Bombshell Batwoman: #52 Kate Kane
I feel in love with Bombshell Batwomans Design the moment I saw it.

I decided to style the full costume after vintage woman’s baseball uniforms and the movie A League of Their Own. I did some slight modern updates to keep it Batwomans style, like the a-symmetrical front + piping.  I hand embroidered the Gotham Knights crest on the front of the uniform and bat symbol on my hat.  I also did an overhaul on my bat which included sanding off all the logos and old finish, painting on the new design and finishing it with some fresh coats of varathane.

Someone please do a Mount Your Friends cosplay. Like right now.

test-your-luck:

IF YOU WENT TO SAN DIEGO COMIC CON OR KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS, PLEASE READ.
One of my dearest friends was found on the side of the road, unconscious and bloody. She was wearing this cosplay on the day it happened. She was last seen with friends when she ran off after a disagreement. Please, please, please, if you have ANY information or saw her anywhere, contact her mother. The full information is down below. This isn’t okay and it’s sickening to know that this happened at a place people truly can enjoy themselves. Please spread the word.
”I just received a call from the San Diego Police Department and my daughter Emily Weyer aka Milly Makara was found on the side of the road covered in blood with no ID unconscious. They are unsure what happened to her. My husband is on his way to the police station and then the hospital. If you have any information on what happened to her please send me a facebook message or call me at 951 229 3394. Thank you in advance”. -JILL WEYER

I don’t suppose anyone has an Arda Inigo wig in midnight blue they’re looking to sell?

More fun Quiet shots, this time from Colossalcon. All courtesy of the talented M1Photo, who you can find on Flickr or Facebook! The guy managed to make mid-day harsh sunlight work, and any photographer knows that’s no easy feat.

This is the GREATEST thing ever!

I actually shoot cosplay while I’m in costume pretty frequently, but on Sunday I was photographed by the real press in my Black Bat costume, photographing other characters from the DC Universe! More specifically, the Bat Universe, even… Meta? Maybe. Cassie Cain could totally be taking pictures for Harley, Ivy and Joker in her spare time. :P

Reminds me of someone I know.  ;)
